Project "Back to School"
The Lithuanian Section of EEB2 participates annually in the “Back to School” initiative organised by Lithuania’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The project brings diplomats to schools to share their experience and deepen students’ understanding of the European Union.
In May, students and teachers met Lithuania’s Permanent Representative to the EU, Ambassador Nerijus Aleksiejūnas. He outlined how the EU operates, highlighted Lithuania’s role in decision‑making, and discussed the upcoming 2027 Lithuanian Presidency of the Council of the EU. The Ambassador also stressed the importance of youth engagement in democratic processes.
“The European Union offers young people wide opportunities to study, travel, explore cultures, and shape their future,” he noted.
The visit concluded with an EU‑themed quiz, helping students test their knowledge and prepare for the European Exam.
