Second literary day for the students in French L1
After the literary walk in Brussels on 28 October in the footsteps of Baudelaire, Hugo and many other authors, the five students of the French section who are following the French Approfondissement course in S6 visited the Camille Lemonnier Museum on Friday 18 November.
They were welcomed by the poet Jean-Loup Seban, curator of the museum, who opened the office and library of the man nicknamed the 'Belgian Zola', author of Un Mâle in 1881. At the beginning of the afternoon, the pupils went to the Royal Academy of French Language and Literature of Belgium. Guided through the palace and its various salons by the poet Yves Namur, Permanent Secretary of the Academy, they discovered how the Academicians, from Maeterlinck to Amélie Nothomb, are elected and work to promote the French language.
A day rich in encounters and lessons learned!
